I created this collection in celebration of May AAPI Heritage month. Growing up, I struggled with being bi-cultural. It took me many years to see the beauty in diversity instead of the pain and to be proud of my heritage as well as my citizenship.

I love that now I get to chose the best of both cultures to identify with and practice! It's such a treat to be able to weave elements of my heritage into my art and creations.

Inspired by my Phoenix print, this polymer clay earring is designed with a color palette that speaks of fire and flame. The phoenix, when paired with a dragon in Chinese art, symbolizes the female element. This mythical bird is not only majestic, but it conjures up in the mind emotions of resilience and renewal. While I use Chinese symbolism and imagery in some of my work, my Phoenix print and polymer clay earrings are meant to celebrate all women, not just those of AAPI descent.

Ladies, y'all are badass phoenixes and let these earrings help you never forget it!!
