Botanical Pouch | B

Botanical Pouch | B

Can you believe that these are made from recycled materials and paper towels?!

The paper towels wound up dyed with gorgeous colors after being used to dry my naturally dyed gift tags. I make all the botanical inks and dyes myself using kitchen discards and sustainably foraged dyestuff (examples: beets, red cabbage, huckleberries, turmeric, avocado pits). Since I couldn't bring myself to toss the towels, I kept them and dreamed up these eco-friendly pouches.

The paper towel is part of a reinforced layer and the pouch also has an inner lining. It feels much like a quilted material and is sturdy enough for every day use (just keep it away from water!). Using almost all secondhand sourced/recycled materials (hooray for keeping supplies out of the landfill!), I machine sew the pouches in my home studio and then they are ready to head to your homes!

These all-purpose pouches are great as travel caddies, makeup/nail polish organizers, pencil/pen holders and more.
